RENT: No eviction here
Arcadia Nicklay's letter did prompt me to email George Green with my continued support for the Lake City Playhouse and its vast variety of superb performances. Maybe, I will take away a better understanding of "RENT," in the more intimate venue of the Lake City Playhouse, than when I saw it many years ago in a much larger theater.
RENT: Decide merits for yourself
I'm writing in support of Lake City Playhouse presenting the musical "Rent." According to some letter writers, plays whose characters include homosexuals and transvestites should not be produced. This criticism assumes that homosexuals are evil people.
RENT: To go or not to go
This is in response to the letter from Arcadia Nicklay (Dec. 7) regarding the Lake City Playhouse production of the musical "Rent." I feel it is only fair to offer a description of this theater piece from another perspective so that members of the community can make an informed decision as to whether to see this production.
RENT: Idea to make all happy
I can understand why a number of theatergoers might object to some of the content of the upcoming Lake City Playhouse production of "RENT." For those folks I have a suggestion.
Press poll: 'Rent' gets two thumbs up
By almost a 2-to-1 margin, Press online readers approve of "Rent" at Lake City Playhouse.

RENT: Let message hit home
As a cast member in the Lake City Playhouse production of "RENT," I felt compelled to add my voice to the discussion on the merit of performing such a "scandalous" piece.
RENT: A play with a simple message
I am always surprised when I read such judgmental rhetoric as contained in Arcadia Nicklay's recent letter to the editor regarding the production of "RENT" at Lake City Playhouse. I continually try to make myself believe that in modern society, these people don't exist - that this kind of hate and bigotry has become extinct. That's the idealist in me.
RENT: Nothing wrong with variety
When I found out Lake City Playhouse was putting on a production of "RENT," I was pretty happy until I read the responses from the community. It ticks me off that people could say that "LGBT lifestyle isn't normal." Some of the greatest and most successful people I know are homosexual or transgender. Love is love, no matter what the gender! I'm a teenager, and I've got more sense than that.
RENT: Curtains up, thumbs up
When I found out that the Lake City Playhouse was putting on a production of "Rent" this January, I was both skeptical and pleased. I was worried people of the community would respond in a similar way that Arcadia Nicklay had in her letter to the Coeur d'Alene Press. Judgment, faux-sympathy, moral outrage and displeasure of the themes of diversity and variety of love. Essentially, all of the things that "RENT" itself argues against.
RENT: Furnishing some key facts
HIV/AIDS does not discriminate. It impacts women, children and men, rich or poor, college grads or high school dropouts.

Protesters steer clear of opening night of 'Rent'
RENT: Don't like it, then don't go
I don't know if this will get posted online or not, and people are probably sick of hearing about it. But as an actor who frequents plays out at Lake City Playhouse, I must say that it is very disheartening to hear so many people speak with such hate about "RENT." Why hate? Why submit so many people to the anger you feel within yourself?
